Joy Lock is an Avalon poet and painter. At 97 she continues to be a proliferate creative and a valued community member. She joins us on Monday 18th December from 5pm to celebrate the launch of ‘The Butterfly Collection“.

These poems explore the creative life of a woman as feminism changed the world around her. A devoted mother to two very individual sons, Joy reflects on motherhood, loss, wifedom and love.

Until now her poetry has been a very private endeavour.
