Lola in the Mirror is one of those books that once you open it, you don’t want to put it down until you have devoured every single word.

Dalton’s Brisbane is note perfect. He puts you right there on the river, across the bridges and into the city.

His “houseless” characters leap off the page to both break your heart and give you hope, over and over again.

Lola in the Mirror was definitely one of my favourite books of 2023.
